Alison originally joined Moorlands in January 1997, but left in September 2006 to check out the competition. Alison returned to Moorlands in June 2007 with a wealth of useful information.
Qualifications - Level 1 & 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene
Work Experience - Started work in a restaurant at 11years of age, role involved slicing cabbages, tearing up cardboard boxes and mopping floors. After many many years of work experience, Alison’s role at Moorlands includes slicing cabbages, tearing up cardboard boxes and mopping floors – she may indeed be over qualified.
Likes - To have meals cooked for her and the washing up done by anyone else.
Dislikes - People who have no sense of humour, and an inability to say please and thank you.
Top Cooking Tip - Always have someone else in the kitchen to do the washing up.
Favourite Recipe -Winter Vegetable Crumble – because it combines all her favourite vegetables together (and red wine can be added if only adults are eating it) and along with a cheesy crumble top nothing else is needed – a one pot meal – easy peasy.
