From the Headmaster…
I hope that this web site will give you a flavour of what life is like at Moorlands School. We aim to:
- Provide every boy and girl with a happy learning environment which fosters warmth, confidence, independence and a sense of purpose and direction;
- Equip all children with appropriate skills, values and attitudes with which they can fulfil their potential in every area of school life;
- Enable each child to gain maximum advantage from a broad curriculum delivered by caring staff within excellent facilities;
- Expose every pupil to high standards of courtesy, honesty, responsibility and fairness.
All of this is achieved through small classes and by the introduction of qualified specialist subject teachers as the children move through the school. We are proud of our warm, friendly and family style approach where each child feels special. We also offer a wide range of sporting, cultural, dramatic and musical activities aiming to engage the active participation of every child. Parents are warmly encouraged to develop a close relationship with the school. This is of great importance to us as we prepare your son or daughter for the next school of their choice whether at age 11 or 13.
The only way to experience our school, of course, is to come and see it for yourself and I would be delighted to welcome you and your children to visit Moorlands at any time.
