ICT
ICT at Moorlands is taught as a separate subject by an ICT specialist to all classes from Year 1 through to Year 8. Each class has at least an hour each week in the dedicated ICT room. This means that the children learn the specific skills needed to use word-processing, paint, spreadsheet and data packages, and are then able to apply them in other subjects. The school has just invested heavily in new hardware with flat-screen monitors for the refurbished ICT room. It is planned to complement these with other resources that can be used in the classroom or outdoors.
