Art and Design
The teaching of art in Moorlands School is given a high status. It is one of the vehicles by which children are able to develop their imagination and creativity.
It enables pupils to become visually literate so that they are familiar with specific elements such as line, colour, tone, texture and form.
The art curriculum covers areas such as drawing, painting, printing, textiles, clay, three dimensional work, and collage. Through these areas they are encouraged to explore a range of materials, methods and techniques to a high standard.
