Music
Music plays an important part in the life of the school. Children can learn a variety of instruments through the visiting music staff and each child from year 1 upward receives one hour's class music time each week from the school's specialist music teacher. They learn to make music together as a whole class and as they progress, in smaller groups. Children are encouraged to perform to increase their confidence. Various instrumental and vocal ensembles are run each week for those who are learning instruments or have singing lessons and there is also a school choir. The children enjoy taking part in shows and concerts throughout the year.
