Curriculum
Moorlands provides a generous pupil/teacher ratio allowing small class sizes and a great deal of individual attention. Specialist support is given to those requiring greater assistance.
Core subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science are taught by experienced teachers, providing a high quality education in a caring and supportive environment. Our enriched curriculum focuses on basic learning, offering reading, creative writing, handwriting, spelling, grammar, number work, tables and number bonding from the age of three.
At a higher level, modern languages including French and Spanish are taught from the age of seven. Senior pupils are offered separate sciences, (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), History, Geography, ICT and DT taught by specialist staff using well-equipped facilities. Pupils are highly encouraged to take part in Physical Education, the creative Arts and many extra curricular activities.
